Review of Amélie (2001) by Giovanni C — 01 Apr 2012
I don't really like romantic movies because most of them are filled with cliches, but that's not the case for this movie. I love every minute of it. Not only it's a romcom, it's really a feel-good movie and something that many of us can relate to.
The story was well-written, especially when the narrator gives us an insight on the characters and the setting. Everytime I see this movie, it gives me the reason to love humanity, even with its ups and downs.
Audrey Tautou did good with her performance, and she's one of my favorite actress. I also give credit to Yann Tiersen for making the soundtrack for this movie, which all the songs within it sounded beautiful.
Amelie is the best movie ever, and it's one of my favorite.
