Review of Amélie (2001) by The Critic ( — 04 Apr 2012
A charming tale of a loveable spirit who thrives on giving joy to those around and (because we wouldn't have it any other way) is rewarded by some happiness herself. Despite being a little too long for its own purpose, this is an engrossing film, driven by the perfectly cast Audrey Tatou who takes us on a whimsical journey that resonates after the credits have rolled.
