Review of Amélie (2001) by Anne L — 18 Apr 2012
The small details in this film is what makes it especial. They don't let small details out like other films, for example, when Amelie breathes inside the telephone booth, you can see the fog building up in there, I believe they would have left that out in any other movie, same when she cries and even when they drink or eat.
It sticks with reality in that sense. Everything else is magnificent as well, Audrey is an mazing actress and proves it by making a terrific job on playing the role of Amelie. And Yann Tiersen is what makes it complete with such wonderful soundtracks.
Definitely one of my favorite films out there.
