Review of Amarcord (1973) by Andrew N — 23 Mar 2009
The way he ties the people in this town together is a lot more impressive than the way movies like Babel(not that I don't like this film) does. The visual prowess that Fellini posseses is on exhibition as the viewer is bombarded with the color of this wonderful town.
This town of dreamers. It has so much texture and so richly created. The man who functions as a tour guide fills in the gaps of the uncollected memories and the characters quirks have you laughing while you're completely enthralled at the life they live.
This film is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen and it only gets more beautiful the more I think about it.
