Review of Amanda Knox (2016) by Alfin N — 06 Oct 2016
"Either I am a psychopath in sheep's clothing, or I am you.".
Amanda Knox's story has always been one i've been very interested in. In each sense of the word it's a tragedy or it's a story of a sadistic psychopath. No doubt, it's a tragedy for the young woman who was murdered, but if Amanda is innocent, her story is a tragedy. The only real issue I had with this documentary is that it is a tad biased in regards to Amanda's side of the story. And, I felt like it could have easily been an hour longer to really dive into this story. But, besides that, I thought this was an equally thrilling and informative true crime documentary. It had definitely stuck with me way past it's brisk 90 minute runtime. I can't say much about this film without my personal thoughts on the case coming out, and I am not trying to condemn anyone or let me personal beliefs get in the way. However, Amanda Knox is still a completely riveting and haunting documentary that true crime buffs should most definitely seek out, and the average viewer should see to gain some more information on this tragic case.
