For many, this is a rehashing of the Amanda Knox saga and for others, this is an introduction to her crazy, long, and bizarre trial. Knox was an American student studying abroad in Italy when one day her British roommate is found dead in their house. The documentary investigates the murder of Meredith Kercher, which Amanda Knox was convicted and later cleared of.

The documentary takes you through all the case details and evidence and features many talking heads of people who were involved in the case including those of the police and the media and even Knox herself. For the most part, the documentary does its fair share of presenting the facts on both sides, letting the viewer decided for themselves if she is guilty or innocent.

The major problem I had with this documentary is that I found Knox's present interview moments very uncomfortable, eerie, and a little disturbing. Among other things, the interviews with journalist Nick Pisa, The Daily Mail, are also disturbingly surprising. Pisa was the leading journalist during the time of the trial and coined the term "Foxy Knoxy" and also admittedly used questionable photos of her from Myspace to help paint her as an evil person. He makes many terrible statements and shows almost no sympathy to the family of the dead woman as he is more focused on informing everyone that he broke the story and featured some of the most inclusive news of the trial. However, it turns out most of it was highly sensationalized and was plain wrong.
