Review of Amadeus (1984) by Errol T — 16 Dec 2010
Haunting brilliance and eerie masterstroke compose this moving and intense biopic about the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the scheming Saulieri, the man who was hell-bent on bringing him down! Mozart's thrilling music makes up the soundtrack, and the performances of Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham make this film deeply affecting, especially the scene depicting the death of Mozart. That scene alone if anything else is what makes the film worth watching!
Overall, lavish production and intense music make this a celestial work!
