Review of Amadeus (1984) by Lawrence W — 12 Sep 2011
Beautifully made and acted if you can ignore the historical liberties taken. Mozart (Tom Hulce) is kind of a modern celebrity in fact. An infantile, giggling drunk and lech who finds his talent is naturally bestowed while the devout and serious-minded Salieri (F.
Murray Abraham) wallows in mediocrity, guilt and self-blame.
