Review of Amadeus (1984) by Alex T — 29 Jun 2012
The movie is gripping from first to last scene, but it really comes down to the chemistry of the two main actors in the film to sell it. And both Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham do amazing jobs as Mozart and Salieri respectively.
Hulce plays a maniacal genius who strives to create his artwork, and the brooding Abraham plays a fantastic Salieri who yearns to be as good as his idol, yet detests his existence all the same. It's a long tale, but the journey is rewarding and the acting is sincere.
And that crazy laugh...
