Review of Alphaville (1965) by Gauvain S — 29 Dec 2007
Off the edge weird. The sci fi premise is tired and shallow, borrowed from Brave New World and Buck Rogers. The plot's hard to follow, there's no characterization, and it's mostly in-jokes between Godot and an attentive audience.
Too bad paying attention doesn't pay off.
