Review of Alphaville (1965) by Justin D — 16 Jun 2007
This is yet another dystopian film. We're all familiar with the premise of a paranoid world with an authoritarian government. These types of films function as satires and predictions of the future and so forth.
Stories like 1984 and even films like A Boy and His Dog, and Thx 1138 have done it better. It's decent enough, but not very memorable, especially compared to some of these other dystopian stories.
