Review of Alphaville (1965) by Niño B — 16 Jun 2007
How glorious it is to look at what we cannot see - JLG. Indeed, while watching I experience this phenomena. I see not 1 but 10 or more films that inspired Godard to be a filmmaker. From 3 Otto preminger films (Where the side walk ends, whrilpool, Fallen Angel), to Fritz Lang's Dr.
Mabuse, some moments worthy of Orson Welles to Carl T.H. Dreyer to Murnau and wrapped it up in godard's intellect. Just to arrive in the outland (CINEMA).
