Review of Alphaville (1965) by Robbert O — 04 Mar 2008
It was the last time Ediie Constantine was contacted to play the role of Lemmy Caution, cause Godard made a friend filmmaker write a script to please the producers (Germany) - read: get a budget for his film.
They said this kind of story was exactly what they were looking for but of course non of the things in that script ever made it on film. Godard made his own film, the one where Eddie Constantine plays the highly discussible Lemmy Caution.
Great camerawork: check the elevatorscene where the camera keeps following the actors, real piece of art!
