Very 60s. Very French. Kind of cool. Kind of meh. Alphaville is a surrealistic science fiction movie blended with noir stylings and a typically bent French sense of absurdity. Worth a watch if you like weird film, if you enjoy directors like Terry Gilliam or Jean-Pierre Jeunet, or if you just want to take a look at what the French were doing when That Darn Cat! came out.
