A strange little Taiwanese martial arts flick that mostly plays by the rules, but is rife with metaphor and experimental touches (like the guy who literally and figuratively "washes his hands" before killing).
It contains nearly every stilted late 70s excess the genre is mocked for, and is overall pretty stupid if you think about it, and it's all the more charming for it.
