Review of Allan Quatermain and the Temple of Skulls (2008) by Shade C — 05 Aug 2008
I only made it through about half of the movie--I don't recommend it. It was refreshing that of what I watched, there was no foul language or violence besides a hit or two. The nudity was tribal women.
It moved so slow--there were scenes where the three main characters would walk by, and it would take 2 minutes no joke. Not just once but many times. Many unnecessary scenes like that.
The sound was hard to hear--there was a part where the three discussed Solomon's treasure, and I couldn't hear parts of it. I even changed the settings on my TV and no luck.
The music was painful to listen to; I would rather watch silence than listen to it.
The gunfire was digitally added in--they wouldn't even buy blanks, and the sound effects for the gunshots was horrible as well. Cheesy!!
