Review of All the President's Men (1976) by Keldon M — 08 Mar 2012
A good film with a excellent cast. As a journalism major, I appreciate the ethical questions involved throughout this investigation. I feel like sometimes the film can be one-sided, but if this is what happened in real life w/o considerable dramatization, then it can't be helped.
One problem I have with this film is that it takes its time to tell the story--there's a lot of unnecessary shots and lengthy sequences of people just typing or walking to places. Considering that this film is roughly 2 hours and 20 minutes long, I feel that sizeable portions of this film could have been shaved off.
Anyway, aside from that, I thought this was a good film. Check it out if you're into dramas, or interested in journalism or the Watergate incident.
