? blend of compelling story, terrific acting, beautiful cinematography and a most intriguing behind-the-scenes drama, All The Money In The World is one of the better 2017 deliveries and probably one of Ridley Scott's best crafted movies in years.

A multi-genre experience, it spans from a thriller, through a family drama and a crime mystery. It starts in a quite promising manner and even though it somehow fails to truly build up the tension properly, it still remains an engrossing story due to its brilliant cast.

The biggest asset of this movie is actually Christopher Plummer. At 88 and coming in as a substitute to Kevin Spacey, Plummer has managed to deliver a gut-wrenching performance. You will stare at his eyes desperately trying to find out if there is something human left in this unscrupulous person. Positive words should also be said Michelle Williams whose powerful presence nicely balances Plummer's character. Unfortunately, Mark Wahlberg seems not quite comfortable in his role and it is only a pity that his character remains a one-dimensional one throughout the whole story.

In conclusion, All The Money In The World is most definitely a movie worth-seeing. It does not quite match the expectations for an Oscar-contender (apart from Plummer's performance), but it still delivers a pleasantly solid level of high quality entertainment.
