Review of All That Jazz (1979) by Jeffrey R — 07 Jul 2010
"It's showtime folks!" So minus the part where "Bye Bye Life" will be stuck in my head for the next several days, this was great fun? to watch. Sad though. It made me sad. Why did I care about the Roy Scheider character so much? He was a jerk.
There were a few numbers that made my jaw drop because of their ummm...yeah.... BUT...I think I love Bob Fosse's choregraphy now that I've seen it for real. Very cool! Now I at least have some clue about what they're talking about on SYTYCD.
Anyway, great flick! Serious, yet funny. Dark, yet light. Oh and the sound design was AWESOME! I rarely say that, but it WAS!
