Review of All That Jazz (1979) by Michael L — 24 Apr 2011
Schnieder is the nuts in this semi-biography of director Bob Fosse, screwing, smoking, cheating, lying, loathing his way through a film and a musical on the fast track to a heart attack. Brutal, adult, seedy film that it is - you can see the influence on films as obvious as Black Swan (where Schnieder trumps Cassel) to the more obscure as Ivansxtc where our protagonist flies that bit too close to the sun but their value is such, no one dares say stop until they are dancing on his grave.
Fame for blokes.
