Review of All That Heaven Allows (1955) by Nadine D — 17 Feb 2008
A story about the struggle between following your heart and letting other people impose their will/expectations on you. This theme will always be relevant. Also, beautiful cinematography, solid performances, and intelligent directing by Sirk.
There's a haunting moment with featuring a TV set. Dr. Bob Thompon and Barbara Nicolosi would approve:).
