Review of All That Heaven Allows (1955) by Martin T — 20 Jun 2008
Horribly dated, melodramatic and boring. Just try to watch it without getting a headache, either from the length, the blatant overuse of technicolor. I'm by no means a feminist, but the idea that a woman should live in complete misery because her children are whiney and don't want to be inconvenienced or embarassed by a situation that has nothing whatsoever to do with them? Gag me.
