Best single war film ever made. You wanna how to die for nothing? Get thee into a soldiering suite and off ye go. "Old man sending young man to die"... never truer. The sound effects and paced momentum is timelessly haunting.
Sends chills up my spine everytime. No wonder every 'civilized' autocratic nation of its time BANED it when it came out. Who'll want to die for nothing, then? hmm? Should be required viewing in classrooms all over the world.
