INCREDIBLE film. This one really captures the true horrors of war; it's an extremely brutal film, especially for 1930. By the end of the film, you really get to care for the characters, which makes the end that much more powerful.
It's astonishing to see how influential this film is also, as you can see it's influence in other war films many years later (Full Metal Jacket, The Hurt Locker). Overall, this is easily the best WWI film and my second favorite war film of all time.
