Review of All Night Long (1962) by Alex B — 27 Aug 2011
You can see it in terms of ambition, jealousy, rage, hate, i.e. moral psychology, subjectivity (and rather too much reverse psychology, and too many timely thunderclaps when the music should have sufficed, though I like the ending).
But all these are effects of bourgeois civil society, of business, of capitalism (and this film isn't unaware of that basic truth).
