Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Jhordan W — 24 Feb 2014
A solid and riveting survival tale. Redford is so unbelievably watchable. He hardly says a word and the realism of the story is expert (sound in particular is powerful). Like Gravity, it deals with someone trying to escape the problems of civilization.
He attempts to survive against all obstacles and ultimately yearns for a human connection. The ending is particularly moving and there are some beautiful and powerful sequences throughout. My jaw literally dropped a couple times.
