Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Máté B — 18 Feb 2014
The film set out to accomplish the challenge of being able to tell a fluid story without the use of dialogue or narrative. It accomplished that level of uniqueness, but lacked unpredictability and was not ultimately that compelling.
Great acting by Robert Redford in the only movie I can recall seeing that had a cast of one, but I struggle to give this film a standing ovation as a whole. I hope this formula is not soon replicated.
