Gawd, what was Redford thinking? Did he even read the script? This movie was plodding, boring, and ponderous. I found no reason to care about this character. And, it wasn't that things went wrong, it was that this "sailor" wasn't that great at his job.
And to be out in the vast Indian Ocean, alone? Just stupid. It's called an "Award Winner." For what? For whom?
