This is by far Robert Redford's best movie ever. It reminds me of the struggle with alcoholism. The struggles to keep the sail boat together, like the whole being of a person. You plug in the wreckage with whatever you have and keep going....Then you have to abandon that and keep going on your little life boat (your heart and soul)...then you throw out a few flares for help but no one comes. or sees your need for help.....you move on until finally...you really cry out for help, your boat on fire, crying for help..... you finally give up and start to drown....But then someone sees your call for help and stretches out their hand to rescue you!! Amen.
