Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Daniel H — 18 Nov 2015
Even with a basic story, single character, minimal background music & virtually no dialogue it is surprisingly compelling & at times too excruciating to watch which is proof that even the simplest films can have the biggest impact.
This lost-at-sea film is seriously more terrifying than many horrors - which says a lot. The fact this film rests solely on Redford's shoulders prove that he's still got it as he delivers a gripping performance that at times is hard to bare, however from a 79yo veteran actor - we expect no less.
