Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Leokearse — 16 Apr 2016
I'm surprised at the number of positive reviews that this film received. It has a weird un-cinematic atmosphere; like someone filming your uncle on a good digital camcorder pootling around on his yacht.
There's a lack of tension, despite lots of bad things happening to the protagonist. And the ending is utterly risible. I mean, I was disgusted at the lack of realism and the blatant fudging to get a saccharine happy ending.
