Review of All Is Lost (2013) by Dani P — 09 Apr 2014
What an interesting way to show a man's struggle at the sea when he finds out he's lost and any without communication. All Is Lost is almost a speechless movie, only with sounds of the ocean and the main character's work on his boat.
Spending nearly two hours with Redford was a huge pleasure and suffering because we see this experient but at the same old man trying to survive against bad weather and the dangerous sea. It's a touching story and quite original too.
Although we never know who Our Man is, we learn that he is a human being trying his best to survive and this is enough to connect with him and enjoy All Is Lost.
