The problem here is that the film is the most conventional of biopics, while its subject matter was far from conventional in any way. 2Pac was an interesting and complex person, and unfortunately, the film doesn't explore any of that.

While some of the performances are good, the movie is hung up on a boring script telling an uninteresting story, which shouldn't be the case here. 2Pac deserved a better film, and maybe someday, he'll get it.
