Review of All Eyez on Me (2017) by Carlos I — 05 Sep 2017

How in the hell is this getting derided?! I swear, I'll never understand modern critics... Sure it basically plays by the numbers of a typical biopic, and breezes through the major events, without really stopping to focus on some kind of profound narative.

But this is an interesting story enough on its own, that it's compelling. And everybody does a good job. On top of that, we even get small glimpses as to who the man was on a deeper level. Sure Pac deserved a groundbreaking movie, but this was a good one still.
