Review of All About Steve (2009) by Jordan P — 21 Nov 2018
This film seemed to try really hard to not follow the formula of a chick flick, where everyone gets paired up at the end, and I guess they get points for trying. The problem is that the main character got schooling in a useless subject and can't support herself, is incredibly anti-social, and is super lonely.
She loses her job under circumstances that would never happen, she stalks a guy across the country who she wanted to throw her clothes off to right at the get-go, and all she learns through her journey is that she isn't a horrible person.
She probably already knew that, so the film itself has no conflict resolution and is pretty much pointless. It was more entertaining to watch her friends than her. One of the worst and annoying performances I've seen out of Sandra Bullock, only surpassed by my hatred of Hope Floats, Forces of Nature, and the downright awful Premonition.
Save yourself some time, don't watch this.
