Review of All About Eve (1950) by Aidan H — 11 Jun 2010
The picture's strengths are the witty script by Mankiewicz and the excellent performances by Bette Davis and George Sanders. I'm not sure if Anne Baxter is a good actress, but her overdone emotions fit her part as the manipulative ingenue perfectly.
At times, the film seems to be saying something about women, but what the overall message is, I'm unsure of.
