Review of All About Eve (1950) by Robbie R — 12 May 2009
The best cast doing the best script directed by a master. "All About Eve" is a perfect film. Bette Davis was not cast to play the charactor of Margo Channing, Claudette Colbert was, but there is not a doubt that Margo is the best performance that Ms.
Davis put on film. If Ms. Colbert had not been ill I feel that the film would have lacked without BD. The picture deserved every honor it received plus a few more, namely Davis for Oscar and it deserves its place on the mantle of all-time best films!
