What an unbelievable movie. Every aspect of this film is just fantastic; wonderful performances that are all so good, there isn't even a favorite I can name as I usually do. I guess I like George Sanders best simply because I got to work on my impression of him as I watched.

The script here is astounding; all the actors must surely have been blasted out of their chair when they were reading this script. The script and performances are the undeniable standouts but every other facet of this movie is amazing.

I must say I think I like "Sunset Blvd." just a little more simply for its more Gothic atmosphere and noir-ish tinges. "All About Eve" stands as a more realistic, but no-less-trenchant examination of Hollywood and the star system.

Hard to believe these two fantastic movies were released in the same year. Go see this movie! Immediately! All its Oscar Nominations and wins were well deserved. For a great Joseph Mankiewicz film, see this one.
