Review of All About Eve (1950) by Jack C — 03 Apr 2012
Structured with some of the best dialogue in cinematic history and driven by a no-holds-barred, acid-tongued, sharp-witted, immortal performance by the outstanding Bette Davis (notice how the film bogs down when the star isn't on screen).
Great contributions by Anne Baxter and George Sanders (with a memorable Marilyn Monroe in a small supporting role) add to Joseph L. Mankiewicz's near-masterpiece. But forget about Eve, this is all about Bette!
