Review of Aliens (1986) by Martin I — 16 Oct 2014
Successful in transferring the tension of Alien into the action film genre, as opposed to the horror genre, Cameron creates a futuristic nightmare akin to his other action classics of The Terminator series.
A very good cast and decent script have you hurtle along at a great pace, grounded well with the involvement of the young girl Newt as empathic compasspoint.
Like the original, it may not have dated so well, but it still stands up as a great action film from which many later efforts borrowed from. The last really good Alien film.
