Review of Aliens (1986) by Jose M — 27 Aug 2014
The biggest highlight of the film is when Ripley jumps into the robotic suit and tells the *itch to backway which leads to a nice brawl. I enjoyed Alien a lot more, but Aliens is pretty decent as Ripley is sent with a small squad of marines to investigate a colony that lost contact.
This of course means disaster and ruptured stomachs. Sigourney Weaver is excellent once again as Ripley while the supporting is wonderful with jock style behavior and laughs, Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen from Near Dark and Michael Biehn of The Terminator (the set and landscape look very similar).
Aliens is an excellent masterpiece from James Cameron and now I must watch his debut The Spawning- Pirahna II. There is a director's cut of this film, so catch that one if you can.
