Review of Aliens (1986) by Strato S — 01 Oct 2014
Cameron's "Aliens" is not the surprise the first film was, yet interestingly expands on its lore and avoids mimicking its predecessor's direction and plot qualities. Weaver is a Stalone counterpart here, undeniably superior in terms of acting, matching perfectly the film's action spirit.
Despite its bland characters and a lack of a substantial meaning behind the story, "Aliens" succeeds in both staying true to the first film's horror feeling and differentiating in terms of pace and storytelling.
