Review of Aliens (1986) by Kade C — 16 May 2017
One of the greatest sequels ever made, due to it being a thrilling action flick coming off of one of the best sci-fi horror thrillers ever made. A tonal transition that normally would not work, James Cameron finds a way to combine components of the original with fantastic action that Alien did not have.
The cast is the true icing on the cake, with Sigourney Weaver putting her all into this role, only improving on the character of Ripley. The horror of the Xenomorphs is still present, while building upon the mythology of the Alien universe.
Absolutely worth a watch for a fun, yet suspenseful time.
