Review of Aliens (1986) by Ethan V — 18 Jul 2018
When James Cameron finally came to the conclusion that he couldn't make a better survival horror film after Ridley Scott's "Alien," the only thing he could do for the sequel was to change the genre and spice up the thrill.
This is one of the most exciting films ever made. Cameron took the Alien concept and stranded a group of Space Marines on LV-426 surrounded by hundreds of aliens. Ripley is back again for this second installment and she, after a lot of persuasion, accompanies the group to the planet.
Like the original, this film I believe is perfect. The new characters such as Newt, Hicks, and even Hudson are fantastic additions to the Alien lore. The screenplay is fantastic, the direction is even better and the end result was astronomically better than anything we thought we'd get.
