Despite the fact that David Fincher was hounded during production by studio execs that didn't trust him with the franchise, this turned out to be a good (not great) movie.
The characters and the humour are the best part of the movie. The story was torn apart so many times I'm impressed that it turned out half-decent at all. The Alien is not shown too much which I think adds something too. It's not as good as the previous movies, but in my opinion is far superior to the 4th.
The cream of the English actor crop appear in this movie, all giving good performances. RIP to some of them...
