Review of Alien Resurrection (1997) by Matt L — 09 Aug 2011
Huge improvement from Alien 3 but still falls short compared to the original and it's sequel. These versions made me appreciate how good the first edition was. The special effects are much better thanks to the technical capabilities of it's time not for any innovation.
The plot seems to be more structured than the third one. None of the films live up to the hype set by the first one as you can see more number of aliens are killed than the humans. An android (played by Winona Ryder) succumbs to dilemma, fear, vulnerability, insecurity etc and people seem to forget that these robots are created exactly to remove these "inadequacies".
It is a watchable and forgettable edition.
