Not bad as far as B movies go but as an Alien movie its not great. Theres a lot of cool ideas in this one but they are executed poorly. Ripley's character drastically changed in this film and not for the better.
I also felt Winona Ryder was miscast in this. On the plus side the visuals and sets are good and the monsters look great.
