Although looking a bit 80's now, it is a very enjoyable cop buddy movie with James Caan ironing out his alienist bigotry on his charming alien chum, who has some hilarious one liners due to the differences in their culture/languages.
Neither humans or aliens are particularly good or bad and the cultures have to coexist.
