Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Private U — 06 Nov 2017
Ho hum. Forty years after Ridley Scott directed the original tight, claustrophobic, expertly-paced original (basically, Ten Little Indians in space) he unwisely revisits it and throws out all that was good.
What was unsettling and truly nerve-jangling in 1979 has become boring and tired in 2017. A real shame, especially when you have good actors like Michael Fassbender and Billy Crudup in pivotal roles. Please, no more pale Alien clones.
