Review of Alien: Covenant (2017) by Lordx51 — 18 May 2017
Meh - Loved Prometheus, grew up with Aliens, was very disappointed in Alien: Covenant. I thought we were passed the whole people land on planet, there is an alien ship, people run form aliens shtick. I don't care about Aliens anymore, we got 4 movies of Aliens.
After Prometheus I thought the series had matured into something broader, it hasn't. This new movie is basically the same old thing rehashed with no new answers. I went to this for the story on the Architects to be fleshed out, instead they get 30 seconds of screen time and we get the story of David with a run from the Alien/s shtick for the last 30 minutes.
And the aliens don't even look that good, they went CG with something that traditionally looked great as a suit.
